«deverdeplata» is a site-specific piece commissioned by Festival Escena Patrimonio and developed during a creative residency in the heritage city of Úbeda. For this process we collaborated with Úbeda's native musician and composer Jerónimo Maesso, who composed an original score for the occasion. Both processes evolved in parallel in order to find their convergences and generate a possible journey by crossing spaces of memory in order to get to the root, the origin.

During the artistic residence we established contact with members of the popular local tradition, such as folklore, arts & crafts, uses and customs of rural life, elements of landscape and territory, as well as constructions of Renaissance architecture and urbanism, to being able to identify and extract their poetic capacities, their potencies ; setting dialogues with the dancing body.

«deverdeplata» premiered on September 18th, 2021 in the chapel of the Hospital de Santiago de Úbeda within the Festival Escena Patrimonio. 

We were supported by Festival Escena Patrimonio, Grupo Ciudades Patrimonio de España, Ayuntamiento de Úbeda, Ayuntamiento de La Laguna, La Laguna Cultura, Teatro Leal and Canarias Crea.
